The Internet is an excellent source for medical information. Doctors don't always have time to give in depth information on tests and procedures. Even when they do, we tend to forget much of what we were told by the time we get home. Now many doctors and hospitals are alleviating the problem by making detailed information on tests and procedures available on-line. It is your body and you owe it to yourself to be informed.

When you have an MRI, Cat Scan, Ultra-Sound or other types of tests, ALWAYS ask your doctor for a copy of the report from the radiologist. Myself and others I know have found out that the doctors don't tell you everything that is on the report. They only tell you about exactly what they were looking for. Some of the other things may or may not be serious, but considering how much you pay for these scans, you have a right to know. Ask for a copy!
